Southwest Art Magazine Features MPAPI Event

We are so excited and grateful to receive a two page article in the February, 2015 issue of Southwest Art Magazine! Known as “The Collector’s Choice for over 40 years,” this prestigious publication is a treasure trove of information and inspiration for art enthusiasts and artists. The publication showcases some of the most renowned, professional artists and their works of art, primarily from the Southwest of the United States. They offer many free guides, eBooks, and even give away free paintings in their monthly contests. Here is the curated section on Plein Air Painting.

We encourage you to read the full article here. You may learn a few surprising things about our event, one of our founders, Ronaldo Macedo, and our “patron saint aka artist wrangler” Lois Reiswig! The paint-outs and quick draw are especially popular with the public:

Paint-Outs and Quick Draws provide opportunities for the public to watch the artists in action as they respond to the inspirational scenes around them, and two Paint-Outs and 1 Quick Draw are scheduled during the event: the first is from 7:30 a.m. to noon on February 14 at Lahaina Jodo Mission, a Japanese-style Buddhist temple, the second begins at 4 p.m. on February 17 at Montage Kapalua Bay, and the third is from  9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Friday, February 20 at the Lahaina Harbor.
