SPECIAL WORKSHOP OPPORTUNITY TO BE 1 OF 12 PARTICIPANTS IN A WORKSHOP WITH AN ARTIST OF MIAN’S CALIBER
As part of Maui Arts League’s commitment to foster educational programs for Maui’s youth and adults, we are pleased to host a special art workshop by one of America’s most acclaimed artist of our time. While living in China, he earned a BA and MFA degrees from the Guangzhou Institute of Fine Art and now resides in California. He is a Master Member of Oil Painters of America and Signature Member of California Art Club.
This workshop is intended for oil and watercolor artists at the Intermediate or Advanced Skill level.
Plan to spend time learning technical skills of how to create landscape paintings with figurative people being the focal point of the painting. To gain the most from the workshop, please bring ample photographs of people in outdoor settings. They should be scenes that represent what you will create during the workshop. Having your own photographs of your surroundings as your basis for your painting, will allow the instructor to best give you one-on-one guidance. The following are examples of a couple of his paintings. Depending on your skill level bring photos that best represent the type of paintings you want to create.
